I`m kind of new to this whole working gout thing, But i was wondering, If i had approx one hour to workout 2-3 days per week, what workouts would you suggest? I`d like to tone my abs and slim down my thighs, but I`m not sure about the best way to do so... Please help me???

Hi hun!

That’s wonderful it is never too late to start working out!! My very best advice if you want to kick start youself into getting into shape Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred!! 

I did it, I LOVED it and I can promise you that you will actually see a result from it in a short amount of time. 

It’s probably my favorite video series because of how fast results are shown in a short period of time (if you’re dedicated and stay focused of course.)

My Awkward Valentine..

I had SUCH an awkward Valentine’s Day experience yesterday I just had to share it!

This is ANOTHER reason why my life should be made into a movie…


So on Monday, this guy who sits next to me in one of my college classes (Trevor) asked if I’d like to hang out the next day.. since it was my day off, I was like yea sure why not! So he said “Ok cool I’ll text you tomorrow afternoon”

Tuesday morning I wake up, go to my Yoga Vinyasa class (heat yoga, it’s amazing btw) and then accidentally leave my phone in my Yoga Locker and then drive home!

So I get home around 12:45pm from yoga and I’m still in my sweaty Victoria’s Secret Cheetah Print yoga pants, pink sports bra, with a hot mess MESSY bun on the top of my head getting ready to shower….

But before I hop in the shower, I think hear a car pull up in front of my house, which was weird because I wasn’t expecting anyone.

So I walked over to my window and I see a guy parked in front of my house in a BMW, and then he gets out and he’s wearing a TUXEDO and then he opens his trunk and pulls out this BOUQUET OF ROSES!!!


My first thought was “Awe how cute one of our neighbors is getting flowers from her boyfriend on Valentines day…”

But as I’m Standing by my window (completely oblivious to what is going on) still in yoga pants, a sports bra, and a messy bun hearing the sound of the water for my shower running… I start to think to myself:

“Hmm that looks a lot like my friend Trevor’s Car… Wow he actually looks a lot like a fancier-dressed-up-version of Trevor… Uh… ok now he’s walking towards my house… OMGOSH THAT IS TREVOR AND HE’S COMING UP TO MY DOOR!!!!”

So THEN I start panicking and tearing my room apart looking for my phone to see if he had sent me a text or something, when I realize I had left my iPhone at the Yoga Studio! Still continuing to tear my room apart, I caught a glimps of my Calendar and realized for the first time that day; OH SHOOT TODAY IS FEBRUARY 14th… VALENTINES DAY!

Evidently… by “hang out” Trevor meant “Let’s go on a date for Valentines Day”.

Yea… Now I really started to panick because not only am I still looking like a hot mess and completely not ready to be seen by ANYONE besides my yoga instructor, I’M NOT SINGLE.. and Trevor is NOT my boyfriend!!!

How do I get myself into these things!??

THEN the doorbell rang and I’m still up in my room throwing clothes all over the place looking for something other than yoga pants and a sports bra while simultaneously spraying 10 gallons of “Princess” Perfume all over myself so I didn’t smell like heat yoga…

Long story short, I was completely honest and told him right when I opened the door (so awkward) that I was seeing someone who was a Marine Deployed in Afghanistan.

He said he was sorry and he understood but still wanted to take me out to lunch anyway since he drove all the way here.

Then it got WORSE…

Trevor ended up being a COMPLETE A$$hole.. on the way home from lunch, he tried to kiss me TWICE and then finished off the day by saying “Bryan will never find out… he’s not even in this country.”

Just because I’m petite and blonde DOESN’T mean i’m going to let some guy take advantage of me and talk to me like that. I immediately made him pull over, and I get out of the car (yes it was raining) and went into a nearby Starbucks and called one of my best friends come pick me up!

& In case you’re wondering: HECK YES I KEPT THE ROSES and big box of Godiva Chocolate!

Moral here: GIRLS Don’t ever let any guy take advantage of you and make you do something you don’t want to do and know is wrong!

Needless to say... today I changed seats in class, and put this HUGE picture of Bryan and I on the FRONT of my binder!

That was definitely the most AWKWARD Valentines Day I’ve ever had!

Skype Date

So, the guy I’m crazy in “Like” with (Bryan), is a US Marine who is deployed in Afghanistan…. For a year. 

Yep, that’s us^

Needless to say, long distance is beyond REALLY hard.

I feel like I’m stuck in a never ending version of the movie “Dear John”!

Anyway, tomorrow night we have our first Skype date! I’m nervous, excited, scared andfilled with butterflies all at once.

It’s the closest that we will have become to seeing each other in 6 months! 

I’m one pretty happy blonde :)

This is me- Brittany.


From having so much experience and exposure to the millions of blogs on Tumblr, I’ve come across many types of blogs. Some that I ABSOLUTLY LOVE which promote health and getting fit through hard work and exercise, and then other blogs that make me so sad and scared which promote dangerous diseases such as “bulimia” and “anorexia” through purging food and not eating at all. I wish I could help the people that promote and praise those unhealthy blogs.

I hope one day they’ll come across my blog and understand that being FIT and HEALTHY is so much safer and incredible feeling that being skinny and starving every day. I welcome EVERYONE and ANYONE on my blog to look around and ask me any questions that they have about turning their lives around to be happier and healthier. IT’S NEVER TOO LATE. I will always be here for you. I do not promote working towards seeing your hipbones popping out of your shirt… I will not promote the “Thigh gap” that seems to be ever so popular on the unhealthy weight loss blogs, and I will never say it is ok to go without eating for days just to make yourself feel skinny. I WILL promote exercising, adding protein to your diet, getting the proper amount of calories you need in a day, eating healthy/ adding healthy foods to your diet, being your own inspiration, drinking TONS of water, and looking at yourself in the mirror and LOVING YOURSELF no matter WHAT size you are! Toning your stomach and abs will NOT be easy and is NOT going to happen over night (unless you know a genie who will grant you a few wishes, but last time I checked Aladdin isn’t planning on sharing his genie anytime soon haha.) I get HUNDREDS of questions (from girls especially) who are doing great with their workouts, and burning a lot of unnecessary fat, however they are still left with that lovely little “pooch” at the bottom of their stomach that feels like it will never go away! Cottage cheese thighs you say? Don’t be ashamed of them and continually run and hide in the corner guys, PUSH YOURSELF to work hard and turn that cottage cheese into two walking “lean-mean-muscle-machines!” This page has great thigh muscle targeting workouts. From articles that talk about toning hard to reach areas on your legs and thighs; to inspirational pictures of rock hard muscles, I’ve put together some great posts and ideas on how to help you earn your way to the legs you’ve always wanted. I’ve found in order to achieve the best results, make sure you are mixing cardio in with your muscle targeting exercises, drinking LOTS of water, and eating healthy nutritious foods! Of course you are striving to earn a toned and healthy body but I think it is SO SO SO important to FEEL great on the inside too! Don’t forget to stop every once in a while and tell yourself how great you’re doing. LADIES!! Don’t be afraid to pick up some weights! I used to be afraid of going to the gym and grabbing those dumbbells like the guys, but now I even have my own set in a bunch of different weights! Again, muscle isn’t created by sitting on the couch and watching Gossip Girl… (but wouldn’t that be fabulous if it was??!!)
